Dearest Chelsea, The seasons are changing, the leaves are falling, and you're still so missed by all of us. I miss seeing you bounce through the halls at Grove Park. I miss talking & laughing with you in the locker room. I miss your energy and I miss your zany ways. You always made me smile! You are a star! Shine on,CK! I remember, years ago, when the family went to do karoke, in Frankin. I was so impressed (in awe) by your ability to sing, "Hey Jude" - better than The Beatles! Everytime I hear any Beatles song I think of you. My heart is broken that you are gone. You learn and learn with every good-bye you learn. I love u,chels! xoxo

Words cannot explain how much I miss that lovely spirit .. It seems like only days ago that Chelsea was at my house for a birthday party for my sister.. with all the girls laying in the floor and Chelsea trying to teach them how to do the "midget walk" or how to make someone else's legs look like your own and you talk while they control them. I know it sounds silly and hard to comprehend but she had this way of doing the funniest things and to have everyone laying around crying with laughter. One of the most vivid memories that I have is from when we were playing Capture the Flag during a church youth retreat at FBC Weaverville and she tried to hide in a tree .. only to fall back down the embankment that she climbed up... "FOUND CHELSEA" .. and when she used to stand at homeplate (for AHS) and stare me down (on the NB team) with the goofy "I'm trying to be mean to you but I can't" look like she was intimidating or something!!! I think everyday of how many memories we had together .. although she and my sister were closer friends than the two of us, she still brought so much joy to my life when she was around. I know that Chelsea has touched so many lives .. leaving prints that no one else can fit their foot into. Missed so much .. she will continue to live on in so many lives. I MISS YOU CHELSEA .. I LOVE YOU ... and I know that the view from above is better than any photograph you have yet taken. Mwuah :-*

Danny told me about this site, so I'm checking it out today...this cold rainy day, while Hurricane Wilma barrels through South Florida.
I am moved to tears as I read the entries, the poems, the eulogy, and see how many lives that Chelsea touched. Reminds me of a drop of water in the ocean, and how that one little drop creates a ripple effect that will expand exponentially.
I have much love for both Danny & Julee, and the other family & freinds that I've met.
Last year I lost my cousin Jordan DeWitt to suicide. While we weren't very close, I was very close with his brother. One of my best freinds & one time roomate Chris Martz lost his father to suicide, and I walked through that process with him.
There are no words of wisdom, and I cannot say "I know how you feel". But I can say that I love you and I'll walk through this with you, if you let me...as your freind.
Namaste,
John :)

=razz I've known a lot of coachs as Chels grew up, and without hesitation I can say she liked and honored Coach Hornaday THE BEST! So here's a good story for you coach! When she was about 9 or so, she wanted to play softball and tried out and made an all boy team in north bunc, half way through the season she was hit in the mouth with the ball, everyone was stunned for a second and then one of the boys yelled out "can you spit" sure as her spirit she spat like a champ and we were all relieved and the game played on! speaking of funny things, one of our favorite things was while we traveled together in my jeep with the top down, anytime we encountered woop-te-do type roads, I would bring my knee up under the steering wheel to hold and we would both hold our arms sraight up as if we were on a roller coaster and look at each other and just laugh like two 5 year olds without a care in the world. I say in the awesome spirit of CKoch, live life to the fullest , dance like knowbodys watching , screw what other people think, have fun, and cherish your loved ones, family and friends!!!

It brings me some comfort to check the guest book and hear what friends and family have to say. I wanted to say to anyone who reads this that it is OK to write in the guestbook more than once. No rules here! ;)
Take comfort that those of us viewing this website on a regular basis enjoy reading your words.
As the world keeps going around us and some of us have yet to 'move on' and will never feel the same, it is nice to find solace with others. With that in mind, don't be afraid to reach out for help.
It helps them as much as it can help you.
Love, Julie

Chelsea's legacy should be the joy and happiness she gave to everyone who knew and loved her during her short life. Even though I didn't have the privilege of knowing this exceptionally smart, fun loving, gifted girl, I deeply felt the terrible loss for her family and friends.
